The Newt Brew brewery moved in November 2021 to it's new home at Inveresk, Musselburgh, just outside Edinburgh. Originally set up at the ecologically award winning and hugely successful organic farm run by Mike and Fu at East Coast Organics in Pencaitland, the new premises will allow the brewery to make even fresher, tastier and more sustainable beer.
The adventure was started by Mike in Edinburgh’s New Town, and the brewery is ready to step up its production. Newt Brew handcrafts its beers in small 200-1000 litre batches using a combination of traditional methods and the latest brewing techniques and equipment, to ensure consistently excellent taste, and ethical values.
Available in bottles and cask, with cans and kegs to follow soon.
Our beers are available across Edinburgh and East Lothian.
Recently, our cask ale has been on sale at Edinburgh pubs The Dreadnought, The Windsor, The Cumberland, The Guildford Arms, The Blue Blazer, The Portobello Tap, The Stockbridge Tap, Cloisters, Diggers, The Jolly Judge, Teuchters Landing and The Abbotsford. Also at The Taybank (Dunkeld), and The White Stag Inn (Strathyre), as well as the CAMRA Real Ale Festivals.
Please contact us for the latest updates.
You can buy our beers at local shops, restaurants, pubs and markets.
We are able to sell directly to you for now, from the brewery, subject to licencing regs. Please contact the brewery for further info.
Our beers are crafted is small batches with the best organic malt and hops.
